Coming out of college, I was excited for the real world. One of the first things I couldn’t wait to buy with my first paycheck from corporate America was a bar cart for my new apartment. I figured it would immediately make me feel older and more sophisticated - ready to host friends and make delicious cocktails for us all before nights out in the city. I had stocked my bar cart with the first items I found online or in the store at Target with whatever I thought may go well on it. I quickly realized that the only drink I really knew how to make was a whiskey neat.

After letting dust collect on that bar cart for a couple of years, I felt compelled to try to make a few changes and really learn more about what makes a good cocktail. My friends were also very tired of just the whiskey neats. So I started practicing creating new drinks, always taking notes of the signature cocktails I enjoyed at restaurants and would try to mimic them at home.

After some trial and error, I had realized that I really did not enjoy the tools that I had loaded the bar cart with for this very purpose. This is when I started doing deep research into some items that I could use to start crafting these cocktails to enjoy with friends and family. Fine cocktails should be made with even finer tools. This is what led me to the idea of creating 7Grand.

I wanted to create something that could house an umbrella worth of tools under it for the avid cocktail drinker. Whiskey has always been my favorite type of liquor but has since turned into a passion of mine. The whole idea of that bar cart was to have the ability to bring people together and to enjoy something with my friends and family. While creating this brand and testing products and looking for the best possible solutions to my needs I was able to bounce most of these ideas off of those very same people. It has been some of the most fun I’ve had so far in my adult life.

We are proud of what we have come up with so far and what we have planned for the future. We will always work to continue to improve on what we have and garner as much feedback as we possibly can to do that. We hope that the products we can offer you will have the same affect that they have had on us, the ability to bring people together to enjoy each others company over a fine cocktail.
